Playground Upgrades
BOPARC is accepting sealed bid at the BOPARC Marilla Center Office, 799 East Brockway Ave. Morgantown, WV 26501 or at [email protected] for upcoming playground equipment and fall zone installation at two community playgrounds (Marilla Park and White Park) as well as fall zone and retaining wall repairs to a third playground at Wiles Hill Park. The playground equipment is new and already in the possession of BOPARC. The fall zones will be a combination of engineered wood fiber and certified accessible pour in place (PIP) safety surface. Materials related to all engineering and other specifications can be found on this page and downloaded as necessary. Site visits will be held beginning at 10:00AM on Thursday, August 29th at upper Marilla Park, Playground #2 (beside the new Marilla Pool construction site). Bids will be due Monday, September 9, 2024 at 1:00PM and opened immediately thereafter. All bids must be delivered in-person to the Marilla Center at 799 East Brockway Avenue, Morgantown WV 26501 before 1:00PM on that day OR submitted via email to [email protected] on the same time schedule. All questions should be directed to [email protected]. Please Note that perspective bidders must have a WV Contractor’s License, a City of Morgantown business license and be certified in playground installation and the installation of pour in place (PIP) accessible, rubberized safety surface designed for use in playgrounds. Other certifications and license requirements may apply and will be noted in the bid packet.

Bids will be accepted until 1:00PM on April 18th. Please note that the office is open M-F from 8:00AM - 4:00PM and closed for lunch break from 11:30AM - 12:30PM. Bid specs are included in the bid packet, which is available at boparc.org on the Current Bid Opportunities page, or by request via email at [email protected].
A mandatory site visit will be completed at 1:00PM on April 4th at the location of the structure. The key points of interest will be reviewed and access to the structure will be available at that time. Bids will be publicly opened at the time stated above. Bids should be submitted in sealed envelopes plainly marked “DEMOLITION - VALLEY CROSSING". Questions should be directed to: [email protected]. Bids are being solicited only from responsible and established bidders known to be experienced and regularly engaged in the work of demolition, particularly demolition of buildings and removal of demolition debris to appropriate disposal sites. Satisfactory evidence that the bidder has the necessary capital, equipment and personnel to do the work may be required.
