BOPARC, City of Parks of Morgantown, is seeking a Manager 1- Athletic Facilities and Ice Services, to oversee the day-to-day operations and maintenance of BOPARC’s athletic fields (dirt and turf) and Ice Arena. The position is a working manager position and requires hands on actions as well as daily communication with the Manager of Sports Programming and Athletics Facilities and Division Director of Recreational Facilities, Programs, and Athletics. Position requires a flexible schedule including mornings, some evenings/weekends, and holidays (as needed). KEY RESPONSIBILITIES AND TASKS: Oversee the maintenance of multiple athletic surfaces, including ice, Train, schedule, and supervise seasonal support staff, Maintain field and ice arena schedule under the oversight of supervisors , Provide quality customer service and communication, Coordinate and maintain internal as well as national standards related to safety, playability and aesthetics of athletic fields and ice facilities, Ability to follow direction and work independently. QUALIFICATIONS: Knowledge of athletic field management, 1 year of supervisory experience, Proven leadership capabilities, Willingness and ability to operate (training provided) on required equipment including but not limited to field maintenance equipment, Zamboni and related ice maintenance equipment, truck with small trailer, Ability to apply as directed fertilizers, soil conditioners and other control products, Valid driver's license, Position will remain open until filled. Manager II- Chef, Eureka Cafe

Works under the supervision of the Division Director of Recreational Facilities, Programs, and Athletics. This position is responsible for overseeing all culinary functions for the Cafe. Position works continually to improve guest satisfaction and experience while maximizing financial performance in all areas of responsibility. The Chef must ensure that sanitation and food standards are achieved. Areas of responsibility include overseeing menu development, food preparation, serving areas and support areas. Manages public outreach, solves problems, and communicates Parks' policy as needed. Responsible for division budget oversight and enforcement of all BOPARC policies, procedures, and processes. Manager III- Community Programs, Events, & Partnerships
Classification: Manager III; FLSA Status: EXEMPT; Primary Work Location: System-wide; Eligible for Remote Work: Yes, intermittent and by approval; Benefits: Health Care, Dental, Vision, Life Insurance, PERS Retirement; Salary Range: $58,700 - $63,500
Works under the supervision of the Division Director of Athletics, Community Facilities and Programs. This position develops and oversees the comprehensive programmatic elements of BOPARC at multiple parks and facilities within the system; serves as liaison to various community groups and organizations specializing in recreational activities; develops and manages partnership opportunities; plans and executes community events. The Manager III interviews, makes hiring recommendations, and manages employees for seasonal program staff as well as year-round part-time positions related to Eureka Café. Responsible for executing assigned sections of staff training. Responsible for enforcement of policies, procedures and processes within scope of youth programming, partnership services and community events. Works with the Division Manager of Marketing and Communications to effectively market programs, partnerships, and community events. Other duties as assigned. Position will remain open until filled. EUREKA CAFE:
Line Cook
As a line cook you’re responsible for preparing food and setting up other necessary supplies. Ensuring that food comes out in high quality, and in a timely fashion. Must be able to follow recipes, accurately measure ingredients, and prepare dishes to the exact specifications of the menu. Their duties also include maintaining a clean and organized workspace, managing inventory, and adhering to all health and safety regulations. In a fast-paced kitchen environment, line cooks must work well under pressure, communicate effectively with other staff, and be able to multitask efficiently. You'll play a crucial role in delivering a positive Eureka experience by producing consistent, high-quality food.
Pay Rate: $15.00/$16.00
Hourly Range: 20-29.5
Baker
As a part-time baker you’re responsible for preparing and baking a variety of baked goods such as bread, pastries, cakes, and cookies. Must follow recipes, measure ingredients accurately, and use baking equipment to produce high-quality products. You’re able to do research and expand our baking menu with unique pastries as long as you stay true to our mission and include grains. Part-time bakers must maintain a clean and organized workspace, ensure that ingredients are stored properly, and adhere to all health and safety regulations. They also assist in inventory management, including checking the quality of ingredients and restocking supplies as needed. Part-time bakers work efficiently to meet production schedules and customer demands, often collaborating with other kitchen staff to ensure a smooth operation. Attention to detail, time management skills, and a passion for baking are essential qualities for success in this role.
Pay Rate: $17.00-$22.00
Hourly Range: 20-29.5
Experienced Barista
As a barista you’re responsible for crafting high-quality coffee beverages and providing excellent customer service. You’ll assist in crafting up drink specials monthly. Must maintain a clean and organized workspace, ensuring that all equipment is in good working condition and adhering to food safety standards. You’ll engage with customers to take orders, answer questions about the menu, and make personalized recommendations based on customer preferences. Additionally, a barista handles cash register operations, including processing payments and balancing cash drawers. They may also assist in training new staff, managing inventory, and introducing new products or seasonal beverages to the menu. Excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and a passion for coffee are essential qualities for success in this role.
Pay Rate: $15.00/$16.00
