BOPARC's Community Art Studio-Studio 287- is located on the basement level of the Wiles Hill Community Center (287 Eureka Dr. Morgantown, WV). The studio is a great place to relax, learn, and create! BOPARC Manager of Arts & Wellness, Debora Palmer, oversees the Studio. The Studio is open to all, and no previous experience is necessary. Stop in, relax, create, and socialize in a fun atmosphere! The Studio includes a general art space and clay studio.

CLASSES/OPEN STUDIO FOR KIDS
ART IN ACTION!
This one-hour class will introduce the basics of Art and Design to young students including the principles of Color, Shape, Space, Value, Texture, and Line through hands on projects. Each session will encourage individual creativity and problem solving while teaching important concepts fundamental to all art studies. Great class for homeschool families!

CLASSES/OPEN STUDIO FOR ADULTS
OPEN STUDIO- ARTS STUDIO
Access to the ARTS STUDIO is by monthly membership or daily drop-in fee. Fee includes instruction, access to the studio during listed open times, as well as use of general materials/tools (full list of included tools/materials provided in studio). Open studio participants can choose from one of the projects listed below or create their own! Please note some projects, like those listed below, will require an additional fee. NO EXPERIENCE NECESSARY! Be creative, socialize, and learn a new skill but most of all have fun!
Usage of the clay studio is by class registration and requires additional fees.

$10, includes wood base, acrylic paint, and floetral
PROJECT 4: Mosaic Mirror
$15, includes wood and mirror base, border tiles, stained glass and grout
PROJECT 5: Fused Glass Suncatchers
$15, includes bullseye Tekta base, fuseable glass, bade, kiln firing

$25, includes hardwood stump, stained glass, grout

CLASS INFO: Price includes first 15lbs of clay and individual tool kit. Additional clay can be purchased if needed. NO CLAY FROM HOME ● Basic Glazes will be provided(2 coats per piece). NO GLAZE FROM HOME ● Students will learn how to wedge, centering, throw basic forms, handles, the stages of clay, glazing, and firing. ● Students will get 2 hours of open studio time after week 1 per week ●Studio hours will be first come first serve via a sign up sheet to avoid overcrowding (instructor will review open studio options during first class). These open studio times will be for registered students ONLY and are included as part of the class fee. Additional open studio times are available for an additional drop-in fee.
