 FULL TIME:

Parks, Facilities & Trails Crew Member I
Salary: $38,000.00 - $40,000.00 per year
Position description:
PARKS/FACILITIES & TRAILS CREW MEMBER 1
Classification: Maintenance Crew
Work Location Reports daily to the White Park Maintenance Facility with work in all parks and facilities.
Eligible for Remote Work: No – Duties are facility based.
Benefits: Health Care, Dental, Vision, Life Insurance, PERS Retirement, Paid Time Off. This is an entry-level position, Full Time (40hours per week) position.
The Parks, Facilities & Trails Crew Member I works under the supervision of the Parks, Trails & Facilities Division Director and is responsible for the maintenance, improvement, and stewardship of BOPARC’s parks, trails, and facilities, with a primary focus on trail maintenance and operations throughout the park system.

Responsibilities vary seasonally and include, but are not limited to, inspecting and maintaining natural surface and paved trails; clearing vegetation, debris, and hazards from trail corridors; performing erosion control and drainage improvements; assisting with trail construction and rehabilitation projects; monitoring trail conditions and reporting safety concerns; and ensuring trails remain safe, accessible, and visually appealing for public use. In addition to trail-related duties, the position performs general park and facility maintenance including mowing, trimming, landscaping, trash collection, cleaning and basic janitorial services, facility upkeep, and minor repairs. The Crew Member operates and maintains BOPARC vehicles, tools, and equipment; assists with event setup and logistics; supports the opening and closing of seasonal facilities; and performs a variety of maintenance, repair, and operational tasks necessary to maintain the quality, safety, and appearance of all BOPARC parks, trails, and facilities. This position requires working outdoors in varying weather conditions, operating equipment safely, and contributing to the overall enhancement of recreational amenities and natural resources throughout the BOPARC system. Some evening, weekend, and holiday work is required. Valid driver's license required. SEASONAL/PART-TIME:
Seasonal positions are designated for a specific season or facility and typically last 7 months of less. Recreation seasonal positions are classified as exempt in the state of WV and are permitted to work 40hours plus. Seasonal positions do not include benefits. Hours and rate of pay vary by position, please see individual position postings for more information. Part-time positions work less than 30 hours per week or 1040 hours per year. Those part-time positions that exceed 1040 hours per year are required to contribute to the WV Public Employees Retirement System (PERS). Part-time positions do not include other benefits. 

LIFEGUARDS: Mid-May- August 16th (including training dates): $12.50-$15 per hour depending on certifications and experience
Must be 16 years of age and certified or able to pass the lifeguard certification class prior to opening weekend.

PARKS & GROUNDS SESASONAL MAINTENANCE: FLEXIBLE STARTING DATE: $15 per hour

JANITORIAL STAFF- YEAR-ROUND PART-TIME: $17 per hour
Want to help keep BOPARC facilities clean, safe, and welcoming for the community? BOPARC is hiring part-time Janitorial Staff to support facility operations throughout the year. Responsibilities include routine cleaning of restrooms, offices, community parks, and common areas; trash removal; pavilion care; facility setup and breakdown assistance; and maintaining cleanliness standards across assigned locations. Applicants must be dependable, detail-oriented, and able to work independently. This position requires availability for days, evenings, and weekends

BARISTA– EUREKA CAFÉ-PART-TIME: $15.00 per hour
Baristas are responsible for preparing and serving coffee, creating beverages, food items, and other café offerings while providing excellent customer service. Additional duties include operating the point-of-sale system, maintaining a clean and organized workspace, restocking inventory, and following food safety and sanitation standards. Applicants should be friendly, reliable, and enjoy working in a fast-paced environment. Previous café or customer service experience is preferred but not required. Applications accepted until positions are filled. 

​SEASONAL CUSTOMER SERVICE REPRESENTATIVE – : $15.00–$17.00 per hour
Looking for a flexible part-time position this summer? BOPARC is hiring a Seasonal Customer Service Representative to support increased guest inquiries and administrative needs through August 15, 2026. This position serves as a primary point of contact for community members and assists with facility rentals, customer feedback and concerns, program registrations, and general information regarding BOPARC parks, facilities, programs, and events.
The schedule includes approximately two hours per day on Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday, with Tuesday hours from 9:00 AM–12:00 PM. Applicants should possess strong communication and customer service skills, be comfortable answering phones and assisting the public, and have basic computer proficiency. This position is ideal for a working parent, retiree, college student, or anyone seeking flexible daytime hours. Applications accepted until the position is filled.
