CAPITAL IMPROVEMENTS - CURRENT AND FUTURE SERVICE DISRUPTIONS
As we work to improve community recreational facilities and spaces, there may be service interruptions throughout the system. We apologize for any inconvenience that these disruptions might cause and appreciate your patience and understanding. These instances are for the safety and security of our patrons, staff, contractors and the community as a whole. We strive to make any necessary disruptions as brief as possible, given whatever circumstances dictate the schedule of work. Any significant disruptions that are upcoming or in progress will be published via this website and other outlets as they occur.
LOWER MARILLA PARK IMPROVEMENT PROJECT
As part of BOPARC’s continued commitment to improving community parks and facilities, the Lower Marilla Park Improvement Project kicked off January 19th, 2026. All amenities located in the lower Marilla Park area will be replaced or updated. The project includes a redesign of the area to allow for a better user experience. These updates will enhance the functionality, accessibility, and overall condition of Lower Marilla Park. The project completion date is set for early 2027. BOPARC appreciates the community’s patience and cooperation as this significant renovation project progresses.

Project Includes:
- Relocation and Installation of 6 New Tennis Courts with Improved Seating Areas
- Relocation and Installation of New Basketball Court
- New Action Sports Park (old Marilla Pool area). Includes a pump track, skate park, bicycle playground, shade areas & more
- Installation of 6 New Pickleball Courts
- Marilla Recreation Center Renovation
- Installation of a New Multi-Sport Turf Field
- Replacement of Marilla Park Pavilion including improved access, parking, and restrooms
- Updates to Parking Areas, Trailheads, Lighting, & Sidewalks
- Installation of other Site Amenities Including: Seating, Shade, and Restroom Facilities

- January & February 2026: Mobilization, Demolition, Site Work, Utilities.
- January 19th- February 1st 2026: Demolition and site work in the area behind the Marilla Center, including the skate park and recreation field.
- February 2nd - February 27th 2026: Demolition and site work beginning at the lower entrance of Marilla Park to the Marilla Center Parking lot, including tennis & basketball courts, parking areas, ancillary buildings.
