BOPARC Sports Complex
The BOPARC Sports Complex is home to the BOPARC Ice Arena and indoor turf facility, offering year-round recreation opportunities including skating, field sports, walking, leagues, rentals, and drop-in activities.
The Sports Complex will switch from TURF to ICE beginning September 21st, 2026. The first on ice activities are tentatively scheduled for October 19th, 2026.

TURF ACTIVITIES
Pre-K Play: NEW SESSIONS LISTED BELOW!
Pre-K Play on the turf is a two-hour, self-paced movement and play session designed for preschool-aged children and their supervising adult. This open-play format allows children to explore at their own comfort level while developing foundational motor skills. Participants will have access to a variety of age-appropriate turf-based activities. This program supports physical development, social interaction, and independent play in a safe indoor environment.
Fridays: August 14- September 11; 10am-Noon; $6 per participant; Ages 5 & Under.

Open ice time for hockey players of all skill levels to practice skating, puck handling, and shooting in a non-game environment. Participants must wear full hockey equipment. No team practices or games permitted. Pucks provided.
Coffee Club
Early morning adult pick-up hockey. Two goalies play for FREE each day. Locker rooms are available for use.
Tuesdays & Thursdays: 7:30am-9:30am; $6 per person; Ages 18 & Over.

Freestyle Figure Skating
Freestyle sessions are designated practice sessions for figure skaters to develop skating skills, jumps, spins, footwork, choreography, and complete programs. Freestyle ice is a shared time by multiple skaters and coaches, everyone is expected to contribute to a safe, respectful, and cooperative practice environment. Please review the Freestyle Ice Rules & Etiquette Handbook, attached below, before attending. WHO MAY USE FREESTYLE ICE? Freestyle is intended for experienced figure skaters who can safely share the ice with other skaters. Rink staff may determine whether a skater has the experience and skills necessary to safely participate in freestyle.

Totsicles
Totsicles provides a 45-minute self-paced orientation to movement on ice for preschoolers with a supervising adult. Whether it’s playing in the large pile of snow, shooting a hockey puck into the net, riding around on a sled or testing out the ice for the first time, Totsicles is the perfect introduction to ice skating and ice play for young children. Totsicles is designed for children ages 5 and under. To maintain a safe environment, school-aged children are not permitted to participate. Skates are NOT PERMITTED during this time. A parent/guardian 18 years of age or older must remain on the ice with children at all times. Due to safety, parents are not permitted to "baby-wear" on the ice. Strollers are permitted. Helmets are required by all participants- bring your own or borrow one of ours!

WEATHER POLICY: If Monongalia County Schools are CLOSED, Totsicles is cancelled.
