ATTN: There will be NO work night on Monday, May 25th due to Memorial Day. The next work night will be on Monday, June 1st. More water damage, erosion control work and armoring will be attempted. Meet at the gravel at 6:00PM. IF anyone has a specific project that they would like to propose/work on, please let the WPTAC know via the email list and also indicate the date you would wish to address the project. The requirement is that if you are suggesting a project, you are willing to supervise and oversee it as well. The next meeting is not yet scheduled. Monday work nights will continue and as we move through June we will see what everyone's schedule will allow. Until then ~ Happy Trails!
The next WPTAC meeting will be Tuesday, May 19th 6:00PM at the Marilla Center conference room. By that time we will have had some work evenings to report on, plan the next projects and get updates on all.
Trail work evening Monday, May 11th at 6PM. Meet at the gravel lot on Mississippi (up from hockey lot). We will be continuing to address drainage issues. Pipe has been secured, so we will probably work on improving drainage on the bit next to Mississippi. Plans are to install a culvert and rock bridge plus reestablish the drainage channel adjacent to the trail.
On the last work evening, a culvert was installed next to gravel path, rocks collected for additional armoring and several berms were tuned up. The berms will get a bit more work next week.
Bring digging tools and a wheelbarrow if you can, else just show up we should have extra tools. Truck are really nice too for hauling rocks as are furniture dollies. Hope we see everyone there!
