HUGE THANKS to everyone who volunteered on Saturday to clean up the White Park Trails! Everything but the kitchen sink was found in the wooded area(s) around the park and along our neighborhood trails. Volunteers hauled and cleaned in bitter cold weather and as you can see from the gallery, even managed to keep their sense of humor intact. We want to thank them for their efforts and for caring about City Parks and Green Spaces!

Updates for last week's meeting of the White Park Trail Advisory Committee:
Present at the meeting were Melissa Burch, Colin Dierman, David Light, Christopher Phillips, Rick Landenberger, Greg Travinski, J.R. Petsko. A review of winter damage was given as well as a report of a dead deer. Most of the winter damage consists of water issues from heavy rain and melting snow. Volunteers are going to pick up where they left off in the fall with clean-up and armoring. David and Rick discussed ways of managing some of the muddier areas and to that end David requested a load of gravel for use on the trails. Melissa will have maintenance place that order. Melissa will also look into ordering the yield signs discussed last season for some of the more traffic heavy and vision-challenged areas. Next meeting is scheduled for April 21st at 5:30PM. After a very long winter hiatus the WPTAC will meet at the Marilla Center this evening (3/17) at 5:30PM. Synopsis of that meeting will be posted later.
