The old stone wall surrounding Jack Roberts Park suffered a partial collapse in 2015. Thanks to a grant from the Hazel Ruby McQuain Foundation, BOPARC was able to replace the collapsed portion with an updated seating wall in the fall of 2017.
Since the remaining portion of the wall is also beginning to deteriorate, we plan to dismantle it in the fall of 2018 and reconstruct a matching seating wall as part of our capital project plans for the fiscal year.

UPDATE: This project is slated to begin the week of October 15th. Contractors will be moving equipment and materials into the park on Friday, October 12th. They will be staging in the small parking lot where the portable restroom enclosure is, as well as in the adjacent gravel/grass area. Dismantled stones will be taken to the White Park maintenance yard for storage. We expect this to be a two to three week project and the patience of our 1st Ward neighborhood friends and patrons is appreciated.
November, 2018 - This project is now complete. Thanks to our crew, contractors (Anderson and Silverstone), Hazel Ruby McQuain Foundation, the City of Morgantown, as well as the Jack Roberts Park Preservation Association for making this project possible.
