MRTC, The City of Morgantown and BOPARC are working on a solution to stabilize the slide on Decker's Creek Trail near Mile Marker 1 and Valley Crossing. The slide is causing mud and water to accumulate on the trail surface. Please use caution in this area as we work toward a long-term solution for the slide. Please note that temporary measures may need to be taken until a long-term repair plan is determined. Thanks for your patience.
The Deckers Creek Trail begins at Hazel Ruby McQuain Park and parallels Deckers Creek and Scenic Byway Route 7 east to Reedsville. The trail is over 19 miles long with an elevation change of 1000ft at a 2% grade and has a paved surface within the Morgantown City Limits.
