Public Notice – Starting the week of March 2nd, MUB will be working near the trail in the area of the water treatment plant next to Don Knotts Blvd around trail mile marker 11.  There will be a minor detour with a combination of a built compacted stone 8ft trail over to paved asphalt and then curving back up to the trail. Please see below for a map of the trail detour.

MRTC, The City of Morgantown and BOPARC are working on a solution to stabilize the slide on Decker's Creek Trail near Mile Marker 1 and Valley Crossing. The slide is causing mud and water to accumulate on the trail surface.  Please use caution in this area as we work toward a long-term solution for the slide.  Please note that temporary measures may need to be taken until a long-term repair plan is determined.   Thanks for your patience.

The Caperton Trail offers over 5 miles of paved surface perfect for roller-blading, strolling, and biking. Located within Morgantown and Star City limits, the trail runs through Hazel Ruby McQuain Riverfront Park Amphitheater and Tugboat Depot playground. The trail was named in honor of Governor Gaston Caperton. For more information, visit the Mon River Trails Conservancy.
